Unveiling the Art of Sunglass Holder Creation: A Manufacturing Odyssey

Dear DockCharged Community,

We're thrilled to share a behind-the-scenes look at the exciting progress of our sunglass holder manufacturing process. Your unwavering support has fueled our dedication, and we're grateful to update you on the latest developments.

Doug's Journey in China:

Doug's recent visit to China has been instrumental in propelling both the DockCharged EV charger and our Sunglass holder forward. The commitment of our team to these projects is unwavering, and we're eager to unveil the fruits of our labor.

Molding Magic:

The mold itself is a crucial component in creating our sunglass holder. Simply put, the mold is a form that shapes the product during manufacturing. The accompanying photos showcase the craftsmanship involved in creating these molds, highlighting the precision and attention to detail that goes into each one.

The Intricacies of EDM:

One of the pivotal steps in our manufacturing journey is the EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) process used in mold making. EDM involves using electrical discharges to shape the mold precisely. This method ensures intricate details and a high level of accuracy, contributing to the quality of our sunglass holders. Imagine crafting a masterpiece with electrical sparks – that's the fascinating world of EDM at play.

Here is how EDM works:

Automated Precision:

Our manufacturing process includes state-of-the-art machines crafting automotive parts. These machines operate with remarkable precision, ensuring that each sunglass holder meets the high standards we set. It's a symphony of engineering and technology working together to bring you a top-notch product.

Crafting the Unit:

The journey from mold completion to the final product is an exciting one. Currently, we're in the final stages of completing the mold, with an estimated 20 days remaining. Following this, we'll undergo a comprehensive first article inspection, spending an additional 4 days to finalize fitment and color.

Timeline Overview:

- Finish Mold: 20 days
- First Article Inspection: 4 days
- Finalize Fitment and Color: 2 days
- Potential Adjustments: Up to 30 days
- Ship in Box to USA: 15 to 30 days
- Ship to You: 3 days

We're meticulously working on the box design, ensuring that the packaging reflects the quality of the product within. The completion of the sunglass holder is a meticulous process, and we're committed to delivering perfection.

Team Dedication:

Our team is diligently analyzing the prototype Doug brought over to ensure that we meet the same tolerances. Your trust in DockCharged propels us forward, and we're excited to bring you a sunglass holder that exceeds expectations.

Here they are inspecting my prototype to make sure they assemble the production version just like the prototype.

Thank you for being an integral part of our journey. Stay tuned for more updates as release the sunglass holder and propel future of EV charging for apartment and condo livers together!

DockCharged EV charger

If you have a friend, loved one, or family member that has difficulties charging in their apartment or condo... or home where they can't easily install 220V (L2 Charging), then please let them know about DockCharged. Our charger, launching soon, allows them to Level 2 charge but without any installation cost.

We use batteries and software to fast charge a car. While you're away from home, the Dockcharged stores energy into it's batteries, then rapidly deploys the energy back into the car and, in parallel, sends power from the wall into the car too.
